51/365 - OCEANSIDE
On this weekend I had this complicated but ingenious plan to go to a couple of my friends parties with no curfew whatsoever and pretty much get shitfaced. My plan was to take advantage of having two sets of parents that live an hour away from each other.
Basically, I told my mom and stepdad in Chula Vista that my sister and I are sleeping over at Oceanside where my dad and stepmom resides. My sister really would be sleeping over and I’d go back down south so I can wake up the next morning feeling like P Diddy. It was all set and I was pretty damn excited.
But right when I got to Oceanside (and even after our vehicle was able to travel back down after some complications) the thought of staying up all night, throwing ping-pong balls into cups of beer, alcoholic beverages in my system and declaring that I love everyone in the party was completely out of my head.
Turns out that I’d rather stay up all night playing board games and completely failing at Call of Duty with those two kids up there. More like teenagers now actually. They’re growing up really fast and I feel so lame saying this but I wanna hold on to these times before they become too busy for video games and the In-N-Out drivethru during midnight.
So I guess the weekend was a successful failure.
